I use these products constantly, from co-washing, banding, moisturizing and twist outs. I have been fully natural for six months and so far I am loving these for both effectiveness and prices. Still working on establishing a monthly regimen (clarifying my hair and protein treatments).

My budget friendly go-to products
Being a new natural, shopping for products can be quiet tasking. With so many brands, reviews and options, looking for the "right" products for your hair could be a challenge. I am sure many have experienced the "it worked for that girl on the youtube video, but didn't work for me" or "$14.99 for a bottle of what?" feeling. Being the bargain hunter I am, I managed to find budget friendly and effective (for my hair) everyday products. None of these products cost over $6!

My first ecounter with Lady S
I had heard stories about her, but I didn't expect to meet her this soon. After transitioning for 10 months and a failed trim, I had no choice but to BC (big chop) sooner than I wanted to. Three days after my BC I didn't know what to do with my hair, so I resorted to my trusted box braids.
Until I washed my hair, and had my first encounter with shrinkage. From what I have learned my hair texture can shrink up to 80% of its actual length when it comes in contact with water. Thanks goodness for banding and bantu-knots.
I kept my braids in for a couple of months and I must say I was really happy with my growth...

Plaid, Beads & Sequins
My thrifting escapades within the past few months have not been in vain. I have been able to add a bunch of new colors and patterns to my closet. My absolute favorite find has to be my Royal Blue Beaded Vintage Dress...the honorable mention is so necessary :)
Some other things I picked up...Enjoy

Where it all begins
Hello all, Naa Dedei here and welcome to my world of Pearly Impressions. I am in no away a fashion blogger. Just a twenty something year old college student who has been inspired by so many amazing bloggers ( The Fashion Notebook, KurlsKoilsKinks, The Abby's World, Ciaafrique...the list goes on). My love for all things vintage, thrifted, african print, natural hair and diy (not in any particular order) is bordering the obsession line and I need to get it out somehow :). This blog will be dedicated to all these, and anything else that catches my attention along the way. Enjoy!!
